Usage Information

This is best taken with meals. As far as possible take this medication at the same time each day.

Dosage

Start with 160 mgs daily in two divided doses. May increased up to 320 mgs daily in two divided doses.

Interactions

Chlorpromazine, corticosteroids, danazol, oral contraceptives, thiazide diuretics may increase blood sugar levels and therefore oppose the blood sugar lowering effect of gliclazide.

Side Effects

Visual disturbances, hypoglycaemia, Indigestio, Yellowing of the skin and eyes, hepatitis, disturbances in the normal levels of blood cells in the blood.
