Usage Information

Liquid form of fluticasone should be used with an inhaler device. This device creates a spray that you inhale through your mouth and into your lungs.

Dosage

For inhalation aerosol - Adults and children 12 years of age and above - 88 to 880 micrograms twice daily. For inhalation of powder - Adults and children 11 years of age and above - 100 to 1000 micrograms twice daily.

Interactions

If you are using a bronchodilator, use it first before using this drug. This will allow more fluticasone to reach your lungs. Bronchodilators include albuterol, pirbuterol, bitolterol etc.

Side Effects

Hoarseness, infection of mouth and throat, throat irritation, growth retardation, skin rash, weakness, tired feeling, nausea, loss of appetite, weight loss, wheezing or breathing problems after using this medication, bruising, numbness, pain, muscle weakness.

Use it exactly as it was prescribed for you and do not use this medication in larger amounts, or use it for longer than recommended by your doctor. Use with Care if you have lung infections and pregnant and breast-feeding. If an asthma attack that has already begun, do not use fluticasone inhalation to treat asthma.
